Juliane Heinemann is a German film composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.
Her work is distinguished by the expressive use of the human voice, analog instruments, and original songwriting, creating emotionally resonant scores with a strong narrative identity.

Raised in East Berlin during the years of German reunification, she studied jazz vocals at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). An Erasmus exchange took her to Barcelona, where she lived for nearly two decades. There, she established herself within the city's jazz and indie scenes while developing a versatile artistic practice spanning composition, performance, music production, theatre, and interdisciplinary art.
Alongside her solo work—ranging from singer-songwriter to experimental and genre-crossing projects—she has collaborated extensively as a side musician, including with Asturian singer-songwriter Nacho Vegas, and contributed music to theatre productions, audiovisual works, and contemporary art installations.
In 2018, her audiovisual project Walter Benjamin's Last Path received the Catalan music award Premi Puig-Porret. She made her debut as a film composer with the internationally released feature documentary La Singla (directed by Paloma Zapata, 2023), marking the beginning of her focus on composing for film.
Following the pandemic, Juliane Heinemann returned to Germany to dedicate herself fully to film scoring. She is based in the Altmark region of northern Saxony-Anhalt. In 2025, she was selected for the MEDIAstart programme of Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM), and in 2026 she received the Second Prize in the Film Music & Sound Design Competition at the Kurzsüchtig Festival in Leipzig.
